The Glenfarclas 21 Years Single Malt tastes like a poem of sweetness, honey and malt, gentle spices and fruits. This Speyside whiskey is a rounded, refreshing Glenfarclas single malt that lingers on the tongue for a long time. Unlike other whiskeys of Glenfarclas this has more smoke. Nevertheless him a discreet note is attributed, while the taste oak, fruits and vanilla prevail and override the sherry taste. The aroma is considered slightly nutty with some citrus, while the finish is long and described with some chocolate. Glenfarclas, “the valley of green grass”, is one of the largest distilleries in Scotland. founded in 1836 by Robert Hay and sold to John Grant in 1865, she was able to keep still family owned, and is the oldest distillery still in family ownership. The storage in sherry casks is typical for this distillery. Add to this the perfect location in the fertile land, which contributes to the exquisite taste. The distillery was the first to Malt offered at cask strength bottling. That was in 1968 with the variety Glenfarclas 105. The distillery now has its own modern mill and six stills. The Glenfarclas 21 Year Old Speyside Single Malt, is considered very complex, aromatic and malty. Especially after meals, as a digestive, it is a revelation. The twenty-one scores with his erdrig-leathery taste. Other varieties of the distillery are 10,12,15,25 and 30-year-old and the Glenfarclas 105th Glenfarclas 21 Year Old is a 21 year old single malt whisky from the Glenfarclas whisky distillery (located in the Speyside region).
