The location of the distillery in Rothes whiskey town makes the Speyburn 10 to a Speysider, which also reveals his soft and sweet flavor. The delicately fruity character and the high quality fragrance and bouquet making the Speyburn 10 single malt unique. Like most good Scotch whiskey and the Speyburn in Scotland’s Speyside region is produced. In 1897 the distillery was founded, the 60th Anniversary of Coronation of Queen Victoria. The Speyburn is a true single malt which is made from barley. It is dried over coal or peat, resulting in a slightly smoky flavor. After distillation of Speyburn matures ten years in oak barrels. On the nose it presents itself with surprisingly fresh and gentle notes of orange, heather honey and lime. The palate is complex and harmonious, one hears facets of sweet malt and nuts. The long-lasting finish is peaty, a taste experience that is unforgettable. Of course, one should drink the Speyburn pure, the only way to enjoy it properly. Speyburn 10 Year Old is a 10 year old single malt whisky from the Speyburn whisky distillery (located in the Speyside region). Rated an average of 4.0 out of 5 by 84 reviewers and available from Amazon for only £24.9, with reviews like that this is one single malt whisky you can’t afford to miss
