Hibiki whisky

Hibiki is Suntory’s blended Japanese whisky, made from malt and grain whiskies from its Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries. This page lists the Hibiki bottles in stock at the UK retailers we check, each with its best current in-stock price.

Japanese Harmony is the no-age-statement blend, bottled at 43% ABV. Age-stated Hibiki such as the 17 Year Old and 30 Year Old, and limited editions such as Blossom Harmony 2022, turn up less often and usually at a single shop, so match the edition and size before comparing. Suntory says each of the bottle’s 24 facets represents a different Japanese micro-season.

For the wider context, see our Japanese whisky page and Chita on Whiskipedia, the grain distillery behind the blend. Prices are the best current in-stock offer from the UK retailers we check (how we compare prices).

What is the oldest Hibiki whisky you can buy?
Hibiki 30 Year Old, at 30 years old, from £4,500.00.
Is Hibiki whisky a Scotch?
No. Hibiki is a blended Japanese whisky made by Suntory from whiskies from three of its distilleries: Yamazaki (founded 1923) and Hakushu (1973) for malt, and Chita (1972), which specialises in grain whisky. Scotch whisky must be distilled and matured in Scotland under the Scotch Whisky Regulations 2009, so no Japanese whisky can be Scotch.
Does Hibiki Japanese Harmony have an age statement?
No. Japanese Harmony is sold without an age statement. Age-stated Hibiki exists: Suntory’s Hibiki page lists 12, 21, 30 and 40 Years Old, and Suntory has also bottled a 17 Year Old, including the Kacho Fugetsu limited edition. An age statement gives the youngest whisky in the bottle, so no age statement means the label makes no age claim.
