Vintages
Choose a stated vintage year to find bottles suitable for a birth-year or anniversary gift. We will add a year only where it is recorded as an explicit bottle fact, rather than guessing from a product title.

Questions
What is vintage whisky?
A vintage whisky states the year it was distilled. Under the Scotch Whisky Regulations 2009 (reg. 12), a Scotch label may give a distillation year only if all the whisky was distilled that year, and it must also show the bottling year or an age in the same field of vision.
Can I buy whisky from my birth year?
Often, yes. Vintages appear mostly on single casks and independent bottlings, such as Gordon & MacPhail’s, which print both the distillation and bottling years. Check both: a 1990 vintage bottled in 2000 is a 10 year old whisky, while one bottled in 2020 is 30 years old.
Is a vintage the same as an age statement?
No. A vintage gives a calendar year; an age statement gives the minimum years in cask. A bottle can show both.
