Questions

What is the cheapest Cooley whisky?
The cheapest Cooley whisky is Connemara Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey (40% ABV, 70cl), at £33.45 from Master of Malt. That is £38.40 delivered to the UK mainland for one bottle. Next cheapest: Connemara Peated Irish Single Malt 12 year old Whiskey (£60.90).
What is the oldest Cooley whisky you can buy?
How close did Irish whiskey come to dying out?
Very close. By the 1980s only two distilleries were working in Ireland, Midleton and Bushmills, both owned by Irish Distillers, which Pernod Ricard bought in 1988. The revival began when John Teeling founded Cooley in 1987 and later restarted Kilbeggan, and the number of distilleries has grown sharply since.
