How we make money
Some Uisge Beatha links to retailers are affiliate links that may earn us a commission. Which ones, what it costs you, and why it never changes the order of prices.
Some links to retailers are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the retailer may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra and never changes the order of prices, which is always lowest first.

Which links
- Hard To Find Whisky, Loch Fyne Whiskies, Master of Malt, The Whisky Barrel and The Whisky Shop. Links go through the affiliate network Adtraction and then to the product page on the retailer’s own site. If you buy after clicking one, the retailer may pay us a commission.
- Tyndrum Whisky. Links go through the affiliate network Paid On Results and then to the product page on tyndrumwhisky.com. If you buy after clicking one, Tyndrum may pay us a commission.
- Every other retailer we list. Links go straight to the retailer’s product page. We do not earn a commission from them.
Each bottle page says beside its links and under its price table whether any of them may earn us a commission. Guides that link to retailers say so under the title.
What commission does not change
- The order of prices. Offers are sorted by price, lowest first, whether or not a link earns us anything. The order is never for sale.
- Which retailers we list. We list a retailer when we can check its prices reliably, not because it pays us.
- What we write. Guide picks are based on the price data and the criteria each guide states.
Retailers do not pay to appear on Uisge Beatha, and the site has no sponsored listings or paid placements. If that ever changes, any paid slot will be labelled “Sponsored” and kept apart from the price order.
