The Connemara Peated Whiskey is a single malt, which is produced in the Irish County Louth. Since 1987’s burning John Teeling in the Cooley Distillery his smoky whiskey. His chosen Irish barley is dried on a Darrboden for malting. Under this burns a peat fire, which gives the Connemara Peated its characteristic smoky flavor. It is then stored in high-quality oak barrels. When serving immediately peaty, smoky scent fills the room, coupled with hints of honey and oak. The honey-like sweetness convinced on the palate. A soft, silky taste experience that is further enhanced by complex notes of fruit, malt, peat, vanilla and oak.
