Glen Scotia means something like the Valley of the Scots. The distillery Glen Scotia is located on the peninsula of Kintyre. This was founded in 1832 by the steward, Galbraith & Co., but has since a very checkered history until the current owners of the Glen Catrine Bonded Warehouse behind. Since 2000, the whiskey production was resumed. The Glen Scotia Double Cask whiskey is aged in bourbon casks and deadline Fill receives its finish in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. As a result, the Glen Scotia Double Cask presented as very well balanced. The whiskey convinced with aromas of spicy fruit and tart fresh notes from the Atlantic Ocean. The sweetness of Pedro Ximenez and vanilla act in the aftertaste.
