The Distillery Jim Cryle operates a temporary storage in selected new Limousin white oak barrels that come from the French region of Dordogne. These barrels, which originally matured wine, give the Glenlivet its spicy, soft and fruity character. When serving the Glenlivet exudes an exhilarating and at the same time mild flavor of strawberry, vanilla and cream. The taste cedar and a cookie-like maltiness dominate, with hints of ripe mango and fine cinnamon. The finish is soft, from spicy, creamy and fruity.
