The Kavalan Soloist – Vinho Barrique Single Malt is extremely soft thanks to its special barrel storage and displays a very complex fruitiness. The Kavalan soloist Vinho Barrique matured completely in used wine American oak barrels that have been used for both red wine and white wine. The barrels are gently scraped by the wine use, and then toasted. This tannins are reduced and increased the intensity of fruity notes of vanilla and spicy herbs. Only after 24 months of storage in the open the barrels for the aging of whiskey can be used.
