This Penderyn whiskey is particularly rich and aromatic, with a nice sherry and a long finish. Penderyn, the only whiskey distillery in Wales, was awarded in 2008 by the leading American Whiskey Magazine Malt Advoate a prize as “Microdistillery Whiskey of the Year.” The small company produces only one barrel per day. After laborious start, it is now known worldwide for exquisite whiskeys. It was Prince Charles, who officially opened the distillery in June of 2008. Penderyn aged in bourbon barrels, mainly from Buffalo Trace and Evan Williams. Later It receives his finish in Madeira or sherry wood. The label lists no age. Penderyn Sherrywood Welsh is a single malt whisky from the Penderyn whisky distillery. Rated an average of 3.9 out of 5 by 28 reviewers and available from The Green Welly Spot for only £42.0, with reviews like that this is one single malt whisky you can’t afford to miss
