Uisge Beatha Whisky prices compared

Whisky £50 to £100

Every bottle on this page had a best in-stock price between £50 and £100 at the UK retailers we check at the last refresh, for bottles from 50cl to 1L. The figure is the shelf price, not a recommended price, and the list changes whenever prices move.

This band is where 12 to 18 year old single malts meet cask-strength and sherry-cask releases. Delivery is extra below £99 at most of the retailers we check, so a bottle just over the free-delivery threshold can cost less delivered than one just under it. Narrow the list by region, cask or peat.

What is the cheapest whisky priced £50 to £100?
The cheapest whisky priced £50 to £100 is Edradour No.1 Andrew’s Anniversary 6 Year Old PX Cask Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl (6 years old, 57.1% ABV, 70cl), at £50.00 from The Whisky Shop. That is £54.99 delivered to the UK mainland for one bottle. Next cheapest: Grace O’Malley Dark Char Blend (£50.00) and Grace O’Malley Rum Cask Irish Whiskey (£50.00).
What is the oldest whisky priced £50 to £100 you can buy?
Cambus (silent) Woodrow’s Of Edinburgh - Single Cask #103260A 1991 34 year old Whisky, at 34 years old, from £96.95.
Why does cask-strength whisky cost more than standard-strength whisky?
Cask-strength whisky is bottled without being cut with water, typically at 54% to 60% ABV rather than 40% to 46%. UK spirits duty is charged per litre of pure alcohol, so a stronger bottle carries more duty, and each cask fills fewer bottles when the whisky is not diluted. See cask strength whisky.
What does a sherry cask do to whisky?
Most sherry-cask Scotch is matured in European oak butts of about 500 litres, seasoned with oloroso or Pedro Ximénez sherry in Jerez for 6 to 30 months. They give notes of raisins, figs, dark chocolate and winter spice, unlike the vanilla of ex-bourbon American oak, and a seasoned Spanish oak butt costs a distillery several times as much as an ex-bourbon barrel. See sherry cask whisky.
